Looks like this is the reason I’ll finally open my 200+ taco tokens. It’s too bad I don’t have 300 to guarantee that I’ll win him, but at least I’ll have a fighting chance, plus I’ll get to win lots of health packs (yay?).

One thing we don’t have to worry about is the clash of the titans. I’m sure that either the top 100 cover or the one time node reward will give us his purple power. And with invisibility the clash is easy. Even at one cover.

Unless they troll you and give Howard an opponent with AoE, like Kamala

Well, I must say this is the most available a 4* has been that I’ve seen so far. I may get one, maybe two covers at the most, but I hope this becomes a regular thing for new characters. It’s usually you can get up to three covers from the initial event, then availability falls off. This at least increases the chances of landing multiple covers.

I understood that it was announced as just a new story event, like most story events are. Like in Hulk event there is always one-time node with his cover.
But I guess we won’t know for sure until we see it.

Haha…man, this is pretty sad. Instead of being excited by what should be a fun, lighthearted event rewarding a fan favorite character, the majority of us are griping and groaning about what we’re fairly sure will be an overly difficult slog, followed by what will likely be an unwinable single character showdown. That’s where your player’s heads are at devs, this is the way a lot of us feel right now. This is the environment you’ve created for us with the over the top, constant difficulty and tight fisted reward schematic. Maybe make this thing actually lighthearted and fun, for players of all levels and roster compositions? I fear a lot of your players are on their last leg, just give us a break and let us enjoy the experience rather than shoving barely winnable battles at us, gating any worthwhile progress behind huge walls of AP fed carnage nodes & 50,000 hit point Moonstones. Because that’s what we expect, and it doesn’t sound like “fun”. Surprise us.

I don’t disagree that this is the current playerbase sentiment. To be fair though, it’s been slowly building like this since Season 2. Season 1 was, “Yay, a way to win a new 4* Nick Fury!” Season 2 was, “This game makes me play too hard…” And it’s been that way ever since.

please please please be nice and give us a purple cover from Webbed Wonder and not green or blue.

if you gave us a purple we would at least have a chance for sure at the DDQ clash node, as unless you throw like a level 125 bagman I can’t imagine most people will be able to do that node without a purple cover.

His purple is the easiest of the three covers to get in Hunt, so that’s a good start.

So unlike dino (anniversary week) or Ultron event, there is no special token set just for duck season. I guess I just learned how naive I really am. I thought it was obvious what made those other such events so great.

Either (1) mpq somehow really doesn’t get what is fun and loved by players, or (2) they do know, but they just do not care. Either way, the implication is not good.
