I was too lazy to search the forum if there was another topic about the issue, but (mindless) ranting is always appreciated by everyone, so here goes.
I just finished in top 5 in Strange-PVP (with Thing as top 5 reward) through hard work (= bracket sniping and luck) only to notice that top 5 get no elite tokens at all. Top 10 gets 3 of them, even top 25 get the same 3, but none for those in top 5, either in first place or 2-5. Sure, one could argue that top 5 receive some other extras, but in PVE top 5 get the same number of elite tokens as those in top 10, so it seems like oversight on pvp placement rewards and should be corrected asap.
Being early 30s, I don’t really consider myself old, but I certainly know what a GIF is. Doesn’t mean everyone has been exposed to the terminology, however.
That being said, yes, excessive GIFs are incredibly irritating. They increase page load times, and on computers with less-than-capable processors can sometimes cause page hangs. Chrome is my browser of choice and is a notorious CPU hog, and GIFs only serve to multiply that effect.
If GIFs are somewhere I expect them, it’s no big deal. General message boards where they don’t add any value to the conversation except (in this case) to troll? Hard pass, imo.
Anyway, on topic, it DOES seem weird that T5 doesn’t get Elite tokens. They get everything from rank 6-10 cover-wise, but no Elites… not even T1 gets them. I guess 1-2 4* covers > 3 Elite tokens to the devs?
