Emergency Powers does not remove Aftermath/Embalmed/Eternalized activated gems from the board

Emergency powers discards each hand, then exiles all the graveyards.
Yet, these embalmed/aftermath activated gems remain on the board.
I thought that exiling these types of cards would remove them from the board.
