I’ve got four nodes left (the last three essentials and 42), so I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get finished tonight, since some might take a few tries. The extra day makes me think I definitely should be able to.
This has been insanely Hard, but epic fun none the less. I hope I can finish, but don’t think my Roster is quite up to it yet. Any idea what the final Prize is? I just hope I can get that last Psylocke cover!
to encourage you, only the 1st essential was a pain for me, the other two was easy.I lost to essential 16 many times over, then once I figured it out that I had to target and kill hulk first, it was fine.
You get 2000 ISO-8 for finishing the final node on the main path (Simulator 42). There’s no special cover or anything above and beyond the Psylocke black.
Good to hear that the new format was successful. It’s great seeing that the dev are starting to innovate with these events.
Can you share any insight on what the plan is for this format in the future? Will it entirely replace the old pve format? Run them alternating? Simultaneously? (I’m already starting to get stressed thinking about a season ending weekend with a 3-day Heroic PvE, The Gauntlet, Pvp event, and Pvp Sim all ending within an hour of each other.)
If that were the case then theres no way they would extend it: why keep a crappy event up for an extra and lose out on revenue that you could be getting by putting up a better event 1 day earlier. The original post about the next event not being ready yet makes slightly more sense, but that seems unlikely as well since the next event is probably going to be a PvE rerun, which should take trivial amounts of time to get up.
KISS! The obvious answer (which is the one given) is probably the actual answer.
Edit: what Crooked said below: it would be a completion, but certainly not participation issue.
I’d bet that they’ve gotten a good amount of participation (thus, it is in fact popular) but not that much completion. So by keeping the event open for an extra day they give the players more of what they want, and the people who haven’t beaten it yet can keep burning through boosts and stockpiles.
Yes, I was assuming the same thing. And I’m also assuming that the lack of completion has less to do with people needing more time and more to do with people realizing it wasn’t worth pursuing.
Done! Most difficult node for me was in the middle of the Finale path, the one with Black Panther and Muscle. Thanks to Muscle’s yellow feed, BP spammed Battleplan from very early. Soon, every 3-match was dealing 1k+ damage!
