Event Matchmaking

I would like a developer to explain to me why the matchmaking in the events is so horribly pathetic that i fight the same 5-10 players over and over in every event. This has been going on for the last 10 events at least. It is VERY tedious and makes the events that used to be fun to play not hardly worth it anymore.
