We’re throwing down the gauntlet with an all-new Fan Favorite Community Challenge!

To kick-off the 2023 Fan Favorite Celebration right, we’re challenging the community to fire 1.25 Million Team Up abilities and shaking things up by adding a sub-goal and bonus modifiers. You can gain bonus progress with your favorite heroes and earn epic rewards for the entire community. Use the dashboard link below to get a live view of your progress.

CHALLENGE:

  • Fire 1.25 Million Team Up Abilities Between July 13-26th.

SUBGOAL:

Gift 250K Team Up Abilities

  • Once completed, Fan Favorite Team Ups will earn a community-wide 3X multiplier to overall progress.

MODIFIERS:

Earn bonus progress when firing Fan Favorite Team Up Abilities. These are characters from early eras of MPQ that have stuck out as fan faves plus a couple more recent ones like Polaris, Rocket, and Kang, because where would a fan favorite selection be without them?

  • The Hood (Dark Reign)
  • Elektra (Unkillable)
  • Medusa (Inhuman Queen)
  • Nick Fury (Director of SHIELD)
  • Rocket & Groot (Volume 2)
  • Polaris (Classic)
  • Silver Samurai (Kenuichio Harada)
  • Thor (Goddess of Thunder)
  • X-23 (Laura Kinney)
  • Wolverine (X-Force)
  • Kang (The Conqueror)

REWARDS:

Tier 1: 200K Abilities Fired

  • 10,000 Iso-8
  • 5000 Red Iso-8
  • 3* Magneto Yellow, Red, Blue cover
  • 1* Chimichanga Support

Tier 2: 400K Abilities Fired

  • 10,000 Iso-8
  • 5000 Red Iso-8
  • 3* Hulk Green, Red, Black cover
  • 1* Lucky Dog Support

Tier 3: 600K Abilities Fired

  • 10,000 Iso-8
  • 5000 Red Iso-8
  • 4* Rocket and Groot Yellow Cover
  • 2* Chimichanga Support

Tier 4: 800K Abilities Fired

  • 10,000 Iso-8
  • 5000 Red Iso-8
  • 4* Medusa Yellow cover
  • 200 5* Shang-Chi Shards
  • 2* Lucky Dog Support

Tier 5: 1.25MM Abilities Fired

  • 50,000 Iso-8
  • 25000 Red Iso-8
  • 200 5* Mighty Thor Shards
  • 3* Power Stone Support

This looks cool and we crushed the last community challenge. This is another chance at a Power Stone! Hopefully there will be plenty of pop-up reminders!

**Sidenote:**I don’t recall X-23 or Fury ever being fan-favs, but at least the nerfed Fury’s yellow TU can fire quicker lol

My alliance asks for boosted 5*, Polaris, or 1* like Juggernaut, Spidey or MBW. I cannot recall requests for x23 or 3* widow ever. I am curious how they made the fan favorites list.

Kang The Conqueror can’t even be sent as a Team Up

4* Rocket & Groot can’t be sent either.

Form a team with a tank/2 Cap Mavel/4 Hulkling, with yellow AP support, on Puzzle nodes, with 3 TUs
That’s the easiest team/way to burn 3 TUs quickly.
After burning 3 TUs, retreat and start over again. :wink:

The gifted team-ups can be anyone. It’s the USED team-ups that gain bonuses with the listed characters.

When does it start as all totals read 0 at the moment

So we have to have one of those characters on our team when we fire a team up to get a bonus?

No.
You have to fire one of the listed abilities for the bonus.

When did the sub-name for X-23 change?

I am confused.
Do we have to use the listesd TU to count or do we have to use one of the listed character in the team and use any TU?

Well I fired an X-Force Wolverine team up so hopefully that got the bonus.

Glad they’re making this just as clear as the skill descriptions on their 5s.

So if I’m interpreting Icex’s statement correctly, it doesn’t matter what Team-up we use. They all count. However, if we use a character from the above list, we get bonus points towards our community goal.

Do we have to use the character or a team up from that character? I assume the latter but it is not 100% clear. And we can’t get Kang team ups?

I hope this one gets cleared up a lot faster than the fiasco with passive powers because both options mean modification of play either through team composition or requested team ups.

I think it’s team ups only , so you can use any team ups but if you use one from the list above you get the bonus x 3 towards the total…. But only once the target of 250k is reached

As this is team up based I’m not sure how well we will do as I rarely use them unless it’s for one of these challenges
