I’ve ignored the 3 star realm for quite a while, but with the new node in DPD requiring threes I’m now looking for a trio to save as my 3 star team.
What is fastest? I’m guessing Thanos for sure, but can’t seem to find a team that is fast. Any suggestions?
No, they’re all slow.

Thanos, Strange, Storm
If you have supports that give a total of at least 9 green aps, I suggest Patch, Thanos and Iron Fist. I was done in 5-6 moves.
I’m using Quicksilver/Thanos/Strange on my 3* team on the premise I have a little board control with quicksilver and a pair of passive AOE attacks. It’s the way i usually build higher tier teams and it’s fine, but i’m not so sure it’s the absolute fastest. I used to like Falcon/Iron Fist/SWitch - it was more active but hit pretty hard.
Luke Cage/Iron Fist/Doom isn’t fast, but it hits like a truck.
I’m using Iron Man, Switch and Kamala. Switch passively gens purple for Kamala to produce green. A couple yellow matches for Iron Man generates more green for Kamala. I can usually fire green AOE a couple times in a row, then Iron Man blue, and then if anyone is left alive, fire his Red to end the match. I do like some of the other suggestions though and will probably switch things up occasionally with them.
Iron Man, Strange and Human Torch. Once you get charged up with all 3 of Iron Man’s countdowns Human Torch can usually kill 1-2 enemies with his fireballs and repeater. Strange is there for control but you can switch him out for Thanos if you’re impatient.
I am using Daken, Iron Fist and The Hood.
I didn’t care too much about speed so I just made sure it had 3* Deadpool in it so I was guarenteed to use him daily to gain Daily Deadpool Points. Paired him with GSBW and Colossus but not for any particular reason.
Three star land is awful for speed. Thanks to the makers for Polaris turning it around from that slog fest. Maybe one day they will add a 3* Polaris,

Daken, Bullseye and Scarlet witch. Lots of specials and Cooontract Kiiillerrrr.
Give Patch/Iron Fist/Thanos a try. Equip them with Atlantis/Yaro Root or other alternatives like Cull Obsidian. Both green aps Support have been featured in Puzzle Ops. Anyone who’ve played those would have them at at R3.
Prioritise green. Attack the lowest health enemy. Fire patch’s green, watch Thanos’s AoE damage them with buff from Patch’s strikes. Make a match and let Iron Fist’s attack tile followed by Thanos’ passive to finish the job.
I juggle teams. I liked Doc Strange IM40 and Kamala - everybody gets a power/AP fill from IM40’s recharge and double healing.
I use Thanos/Iron Fist/Luke Cage - not too slow.
Where are all those competitive 3* players at who wanted more 3* characters? I think it’s interesting there doesn’t seem to be a “solved” consensus for 3* speed.

It’s not that fast but I usually use Switch/Falcon/Spidey and collect purple and fire off Falcons purple for the protect tiles and then match yellow to buff those tiles and i end up taking little to no damage as a result. You could just match a few purple even to get the defense tiles out there from Spidey and just match yellow to buff them and then use Spideys yellow to chunk down whoever’s got the most health.
I use Thanos, Strange, Thor. Target the enemy with the lowest AP and Strange will hit them when they attack. Use Thor’s moves to finish them and trigger Thanos, then hit the next lowest. Once they’re down, Thanos’ Court Death usually downs the last one. If you use Thor’s green, they all go down quickly after Court Death hits them.
