Championed Daken before this event coincidentally as I never use him (healing too unreliable and only one real attack power)

But I’ve got a usable X-23 with 1/4/4 (wish that green was higher) and combining her with Daken means I am getting purple tiles out regularly for tasty damage

I just started and I’m up to 464 with one health pack used for Black Panther who has a nice AOE and more strike tiles to keep the cost of X-23’s purple down.

Here’s hoping with a couple of shield hops I can actually achieve 1000 in this event.

Took me about 3 hours to chew through your damned Thing lol.

Figured you had either hit 1300 already or would have no problems with 8 hours to go.

I Think I had shielded already when you hit me. Either way, getting hit is part of the game, so no offense taken.

Precisely. It’s a Little gift to everyone below you on the scoreboard. I used the loaner Daken, Juggernaut and Modern Black Widow, so it may be that having only onestar characters may have affected the matching. The cupcakes I found were of the two-star variety.

Ah very generous. I don’t think I ever see cupcakes as I’m always facing maxed teams. Oh well can’t be helped I guess.

I didn’t start seeing cupcakes until I started spending time above 850. The best way I’ve found to queue them without being in a Line room is to climb early, shield for a while, and periodically skip a bunch. Eventually you should luck into one or two.

Today I lucked into two shortly after climbing to 1100. I was feeling saucy after hitting 1k since it was still relatively early in the day, and I found a pair of Kamala teams both worth 50. After finishing, I stumbled upon a 2* Marvel/Jugs cc, so I planned to skip furiously to find more. I only needed a couple to find a low level IM40/Quake team, so I hit a fistbuster for the extra points I needed to reach 1300 and to give the bakers a few minutes to shield.

This was the first time I’ve climbed to 1300 without a shield. Didn’t think it was possible until I finally started maxing out 4s. My 4thor is a hop, skip and a jump away from being my third 4 champ, and now I have a cover to feed her for her first champion level.

Tangent: Why are there so many cc’s with 2* Ms. Marvel? Are the bakers using her yellow to accelerate into a whales TU or something?

I forgot to play this event since I’ve been busy grinding for double iso. After I was done with the first clear of the new sub, I was left with 1 health pack. I was trying to make KK+Thor work but since she tanks yellow, it didn’t work out so well. Switched to IF/OML. Why didn’t anyone tell me Daken tanks purple! I managed to climb from 425 to 800 using no health packs. Unfortunately, I was hit for twice for 50 points, so I didn’t get the cover. Tried to hop with 5 minutes left, but the 50 point match I had lined up was only worth 17. Boo…
