Its a constant problem recently where the fblthp sales almost ALWAYS show at least one card in the wrong set.
For new players, when they see Endless Detour being available from the OTJ pack, they will likely just take it at face value and invest their gold in that, only to get the card and realize that it is a legacy card and cannot be used in standard events.
This happens so often that it seems intentional.
The hits keep coming. This week, there are 3 out of 7 fblthp cards that are mis-labeled.
Are you guys doing this on purpose just to mess with us?
Just clarify for me, did the game show you that Endless Detour with an OTJ set symbol on it somewhere?
As a veteran player, this is not a problem that’s on my radar, I know that alt art cards always carry their original set symbol and that determines their playability in Standard or Legacy, not the artwork itself, despite how evocative it might be of a particular set.
That said, I can see how this would be confusing for newer players, there’s a lot of complicated systems in the game and its really hard to grok all of them quickly. If a new player drops a few hundred crystals on a card they thought was Standard legal, but in fact isn’t, that can make a real dent in their resources.
I dont know how to post screenshots here, but currently Whir of Invention is available (but locked for me since I havent completed the event) in store showing the Aether Drift Set symbol. When you search for the card in Cards section, it shows the Kaldesh symbol.

Indeed, the set in which a full art version is released and the original set of that card are not related. We shall look at that, so this kind of information is not misinterpreted. I hope to be back soon with news.
