Prodigal Sun for the free Sentry cover probably SHOULD have won (and I didn’t even think of that when I voted), but Deadpool vs MPQ is much more fun, and short, and awesome, and fun.
I am really dissapointed Ares didn’t win the PvP tournament vote. Deadpool just too popular. At least it wasn’t
So there will be an event that will force us to use a 1* character again. Being that I have deleted them all because I need the roster slots for 3* to transition faster and do well on PVE along with having my maxed 2* for PVP. So now you force me to do bad in a PVP as well. At least provide me some roster slots as an anniversary gift. Help me help you!
Okin, most players have been/are/will be in the same spot. Keeping every single cover you get is not very plausible unless you can manage the HP you get with crazy efficiency and keep from opening any non-standard tokens until you can pay for every slot, or unless you buy some HP.
Most older players had to sell 3* covers early to fit other 3* covers, not to mention multiple sales of 1s and 2s. When there was the first alliance 1* tournament for Hood covers early on, and the alliance cover was yellow which I sorely needed, I had to rely on the alliance to get the cover since I couldn’t do terribly much with my only maxed 1*, modern Storm. It is usually only past transition that 3s can afford to keep all 1s and 2*s and even max most of them - which I did for events like Balance of Power and Combined Arms even if we have them like once or twice in a month.
Demiurge expect you to either sell good covers once or twice, get aggravated and buy HP for roster slots (it’s not a bad investment early on, and might be the only one you would ever need), or never get aggravated in the first place and expand your roster as soon as you run out of slots. The path of a F2P is not terribly easy but you know that many characters are mediocre/dispensable.
Glad that Deadpool won the poll, meaning we will be able to win a set of his covers prior to Tex-Mex. Who the kitty needs Ares covers? Not me, not you, not anyone.
Just because they rerun prodigal son doesn’t mean they will be giving out free sentries this time. In fact I’m almost 100% sure that they wouldn’t be doing so.
After the first Balance of Power, I specifically saved 10 Juggernaut covers in anticipation of this! Read the writing on the wall and save 3 slots for 1* characters. Mark my words, the between season PVPs are gonna reserved for new and non-traditional gameplay concepts and I’m not at all surprised they scheduled 2 pvps that require a broad and deep roster to survive.
In fact, didn’t the Gauntlet end right at the start of Season 6?
I personally dislike balance of power but oh well, would of been cool to see an ares tourney for a change tho, i doubt they would of given ares covers out anyway if it was the upcoming tourney. Maybe as the lower reward but I’m sure ares as the top reward would of turned off a lot of people. Regardless we should all be appreciative that D3 are trying to give back to their players for their anniversary by asking for and listening to their opinions. Maybe we will see an ares tourney in the future as it was second?
I answered the poll honestly in terms of what I legitimately found the most fun (nothing to do with rewards). My answer was Falcon and Loki would be my runner up. Both of these characters have a LOT of fun combos but sadly never make room when building a party.
I could care less about Falcon / Loki rewards though.
