I guess it’s fortunate that black is probably Bullseye’s worst skill, but this is another case where his hardest to get release cover is his hardest to get cover in PVP.
I’m still not buying the “it’s totally random” thing.
Also, while I’d love to see his PVP be named something sweet like “Lady Killer” (go read some books), or since it’s Bullseye versus Bullseye, something catchy (but un-PC) like “Mo’ Lester”, it’ll probably get a humdrum name like “Dead Center”, “Dead Aim”, “Aim To Please”, or “Stay On Target”.
Not liking Captain Marvel boosted: makes her a less efficient IF counter.
Fully covered a 2* Bullseye today, to see how he plays out with a 3rd ability. With Cap Marvel boosted, his shields don’t really affect her absorption (only triggers on ability) He seems weaker than I remember, but maybe that’s because he’s always leveled to 250 or something. With him and Cap, I’m taking barely any damage in a round, but it seems slow.
Either RNG does not mean what they think it means (says Inigo Montoya), or the Devs need to seriously ditch it and just plan out the cover progression during each event, which would take an intern like 5 minutes to do with a spreadsheet in hand.
I’ve been alternating between GSBW/Hood and LCap/IF. While my levels are higher on LCap and Fist I actually got a few defensive victories with GSBW and Hood. Overall it seems more people are attacking this time, though I had a much later start with Falcon PVP.
jumped in with 2 hours to go.made it up to 750 pts without being attacked 2 mins to go i get a pop up screen saying i was attacked 9 times for 200+ pts. Yea right not attacked all night and then in the last min im attacked by 9 people .
PVE was no longer fun a season ago and how if they keep this up PVP will be no longer fun..so glad i did not toss that 50 in few months back. Was a fun game but now its nothing more then a hassle
Even with the old system in place, you probably would’ve seen the same thing. New character rewards, plus being unshielded in the last 15 min - 1 hr, means multiple attacks. A lot of those people attacking you were probably breaking their shield at the end to attack you, which is why you weren’t attacked before. At least you were able to get some progression rewards, that you wouldn’t have gotten under the old system (probably the token at 650 and HP at 725), although you might’ve gotten bumped out of top 100. Staying unshielded thru the end of a PVP is just asking to be attacked, unless you have a very strong team on defense. People are going for points, and for opponents they can beat, to try to scramble into the top 100. Just so happened that 9 of those people chose you.
At one point in the last hour when I was sitting at around 730, I got hit for 50 and 42 almost simultaneously. I was running HB/Fist. I’m going to guess you were running something that looked way, way more appealing. The last minutes are a complete free-for-all, so you shouldn’t be surprised at all.
I thought I was going to be able to hit 800 for the first time. I hit 795 and then hit “the wall” hard. Every available node seemed to have a maxed Cage with maxed boosted friends.
I was using stormneto (w/my 190 cap marvel) to climb from 650 just to see how close to the sun I could get so I knew I had to be quick. Burned through about 40 skips with no fast matchups and then got hit for 3 losses for 100+. Whomp whomp. I shielded at just under 700 and everyone seemed to be drooling over a stormneto matchup with that many points because I must have gotten hit about 40 times in the final couple hours.
I was at #86, 25 minutes left, queued up 3 easy wins.. broke my shield because i knew i would be bumped out of the top 100.. won all 3.. was hit so many times i only came out 10 points ahead of where i was.
I think I waited too long to make my push. was hovering at abt 500 and started my push with about 90 min left when I thought I’d have 2.5 hrs. lots of activity and then made the mistake of underestimating a lvl 230 marvel. after that wipe and a defensive loss for 49 pts, it was a struggle to get back over 700 but I did it. without the mistake I may have gotten close to 800 - never done that and the first time will be nice.
mal - my experience is that 86th is sometimes ok with 25 min left. I may have waited longer to break to see how things were going. sometimes the end is quieter than you think and sometimes those going down (getting hit) make up for some that are going up.
