I appreciate Ares. Dude was my rock while I was in the 2* range, along with OBW. To the point I can’t even be too mad when the AI has him rage quit and surrender. I’ve done it (probably) hundreds of times myself.
I also appreciate how they highlight the devs not giving a care when it comes to balance or canon in PvE. A 1* with cheap and super powerful moves to the point they can wreck 4*? Perfect! Moonstone having more health than Thor/Ms. Marvel/Wolverine? Why not?!
I think Sentry and Hulkbuster really helped my appreciation for Ares. That willingness to take some self-damage and knowing when to hold AP and when to spend it all on Onslaught. His current cover art is A+++ too.
Honestly, I think I’d be ok with a 2nd variant although his time in DA was brief, so any variant would likely have a different affiliation.
Moonstone, I “appreciate” you.
I’m in the tiny minority that likes and uses Moonstone. She pairs decent with Patch and until I champed Blade she was my go to purple/black user. Still use her everyday in the Deadpool daily.
Also Daken is my go to for lightning rounds.
It would be awesome if new PVE events featured someone other than the dark avengers though.

I would rather fight symbiotes!! They’re tough, but at least I haven’t fought them thousands of times!! I’ll take anything over dark avengers!
These storylines are all 2 years old! I much prefer venom bomb, howard the duck and the other more recent storylines for variety’s sake! (But not EOTS as much, since it disables my OML for most of its run, forcing me to want to use up my healthpacks).

They are there purely to be the contrast to events when they are not in it. If they were never in any events anymore how would you measure how dull and irritating an event is?
Boobstone is always my first target especially when the rest of the crew includes Juggs/Ares. Not because she’s dangerous (she isn’t as long as you have a tile for Gravity Warp to be wasted on) but because I’ve noticed that the AI seems to gather AP for the front character to use even if the back character could fire a power. For example Juggs needs only 6 red to Headbutt but if she’s up front it tries to gather 14 for Photon blast. So I do match damage against her only and switch targets to use my powers on Juggs/Ares trying to kill them before she gets matched to death. Many many times they will never fire a power even though they have plenty of AP. Once she falls then they start firing off powers.

The symbiotes in ddq are super cute. Each of their attacks does like 10 damage. The ones in venom bomb, well yeah they are pretty awful. The dog is my least favorite.. someone put him back on his leash!
