100% this! Discord is great for real time chat. Discord is beyond awful at disseminating information, allowing for threaded discussions and acting as an archive for the future.

Especially if you are not based in the USA but the majority of people posting are. At least on the Forums the information doesn’t disappear downwards regardless of how many people are commenting. By the time I got to something it was always pop culture jokes, cliquey banter and pizza toppings which is fine and all but not for everyone.
