Game will freeze during game play. Sometimes for a few seconds, >10 seconds, or > 30 seconds before resuming play. I am constantly closing and restarting. I am using an iPad with OS 26.3.1.
The only thing you can try is going to the options (the Cog symbol) and press “Download All Assets”
Sometimes the game will pause/lag, when it needs to download a graphic (asset)
Doing that has worked for a lot of people.
Note: Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi (unlimited data) before downloading, as it will be 2GB+ to download them all.
You might also want to turn off battery saver mode and see if it helps. Sometimes on long pauses with no interaction with the screen it appears that mode kicks in.

@S0kun @TheMigz there are several people experiencing this , seems to be related to ios 26.xxxx, you got this or just don‘t Care?
Is there any consistency to when and where it happens? Just if there are multiple reports, but everyone gets it happening in a variety of places, it could be device/user specific rather than a general game bug
For example, is it always in a specific game mode, around a certain time of the day when daily reset happens, when you use a specific team or take a specific action in battle?
Also, knowing what device everyone plays on will be helpful!

it seems the main component is iOS iPadOS 26 and it’s Update versions
For me it starts after aprox. 10 fights, mainly in PVE, or after opening about 20 tokens
The game freezes and lags for up to 30 secs but does not crash
Force close resets it but the reload can take up to one minute
Device is IPad 9th generation
Is that consistent for everyone else in this thread reporting this issue?

I have had good success with your suggestion. File started in the GBs, then 100s of MBs, gradually getting smaller. I had to do several times to start. Now I am checking regularly before I start play. Files have been significantly smaller now.
It does still freeze, but after I have been playing. Maybe the downloads aren’t occurring automatically as intended.

This happened to me for the first time EVER yesterday (that includes my older Galaxy S9+ phone that I upgraded to S25 in November).
It was in PvP in a match against 5-Omega Red, someone I’ve not fought against in any battle that I can recall in a very long time (maybe since the summer). Game froze during the initial gem drop. I minimized a couple of times but it didn’t help so I eventually had to force close. After the restart all was fine in battles against him but I suspect asset loading vs someone who does start of battle stuff hangs the game.

Getting repeated game freezes, even after only a single match. Have downloaded assets, low texture setting, turned off battery saver but no joy.

Crashes seem worst since the latest iOS update
I’m getting this too as it freezes and unfreezes for a few seconds mainly in the PVE nodes where you have to play as certain characters. I’m iPad 10th generation on 26.4. I notice sometimes it freezes if it’s a download assets day.
I also get a black screen sometimes too that eventually goes away. It’s really annoying
