Game crashes when entering a fight

I play using steam on a window 8.1 PC. I regularly, but not very often, crash upon entering a fight. This morning was particularly bothersome because I just used 3 health packs, 3 plus all AP boosts and 4 plus crit boosts and they all get used up when the app crashes. Not to mention that I now can’t continue the fight for over an hour when my characters regen their health. I may have lost the chance at my mystique progression reward because of this.

Note the happens just at the end of the tiles falling. I saved screen screen shots of the error info. I hope this will help you track down the error. I did contact customer service. I hope they will restore the boosts.

It happened again today. Just as the last row of tiles was falling. I’m afraid to play lightning rounds now, as I’m losing health packs on seed teams.

I just had this problem too, steam windows 7.
Also my alliance chat is messed up. Don’t know if that is related. I tried to send a chat message right before entering the battle that crashed.

I had this problem during R64 iirc. Same kind of crash starting a match, using up your boosts and taking one third of your team’s health. I couldn’t detect the reason myself and I didn’t report it. I haven’t had a crash since then. Still not sure what’s causing it. Steam, Win7 64 bit.
