So am I the only one who feels like I may constantly be making a mistake when I do anything in this game? Today’s CP change for classic packs affects a small handful of people who only need the latest 5 stars, but for everyone else whos spent CP on Legendary Tokens we’ve probably been screwed out of 5 CP per token we bought. If we had known this was coming, we should have actually been saving for the price reduction.
Before that the championing thing made me regret ever selling my 2 stars because while I thought I had moved past those covers, essential 2 stars and now championing means that I probably should have held onto them for more rewards at basically no cost.
Way before that there was the ISO cost reduction on 3 and 4 stars meaning that leveling characters prior to that, especially if it was just to 120, cost you more than if you had waited.
DP Taco Tokens should probably be saved for when something useful comes around, again championing means that it would have been more beneficial to save tokens. Again hoarding is reinforced.
I’m constantly asking things like, should I use these taco tokens? What if a release down the line adds more 4 stars into the pot so my odds are better if I wait.
These changes for championing, and ultimately reducing the cost of legendary tokens are all great and I absolutely love champions don’t get me wrong, but I really want D3 to focus more on fixing things that don’t also encourage hoarding. the ISO cost reduction on 3 stars could have been different by increasing hte amount of ISO you gain across the board from all sources for instance.
Other changes like champions and cost changes that do affect our stock piles could be communicated earlier, maybe a couple weeks instead of a couple days for instance, so we can at least prepare. I bought a legendary token yesterday for instance, that was a mistake I literally just lost 5 CP for no reason since that token didn’t immediately benefit me, as most tokens don’t.
TLDR: Please stop encouraging us to hoard everything we ever acquire
