Haven’t been playing for weeks. I sign on to see if the daily crap pack gives anything good, but that’s about it. I still joined the events out of lolz, and don’t participate. I signed on today to see that i was rank 15 with zero points. I jumped to rank 4 and then 2 after 2 games. I looked at the prizes and realized why the leaderboards were empty, other than D3s greed.
I think it’s a bug of some sort. I am in a bracket that had 10 people when I started, yet someone in my coalition had more.
Nothing much to say, other than enjoy your easy rank reward this weekend!
I wonder if they auto entered all the inactive players into events. It would explain why so many people have 0 points and maybe also why they took the participation counters down from events.
First few hundred people would be the ones that signed up yesterday before events started.
This happens every event. Since the start of events.
Wrote this in another thread:
"Many in my coalition including myself are playing in brackets with just a few people. If this is actually not a bug, but a feature, I welcome it. It sure is something else, and something much better, than facing Killwind 10x. I have never before seen any of the players in my bracket, two of them are actually still a challenge, and there is a nice little struggle for the top rank, so there is even suspense.
In terms of matchmaking this is kind of a progress. Still, I sense it might also just be a bug. It seems that there actually are brackets with not more than 10 people, since one of us is in one which has ranks 9 and 10 with 0 points."
Are you sure that the brackets are working exactly the same as they ever do? One of my team came 1st with -25 points. That’s not a thing that usually happens.
Of course I’m never sure if something has changed.
Just pointing out that in most events, the first few hundred players are usually those that signed up in advance and often end up not playing at all.
Negative 25 points? That really is an accomplishment by itself, to say nothing of winning with that score.
I know this is platinum players, but I thought I would point out that not all players/ranks are the same. In Silver, I ended with exactly 80 points (I do not have Nahiri) and got rank 17.
You might be making a joke, but just in case you weren’t, -25 means he was 25 points below a perfect score.
