Game lockup in PvP event

Just suffered a game lockup in the PvP event. It’s a lockup I recognise, one that’s been in the game for ages… the game is completely unresponsive, won’t allow the overlay to scroll, but animations continue, and you can enter the pause menu to quit the game.

However, happening in PvP as it has, this could seriously affect my prizes. This is a bug that’s been around a while, and it needs fixing.

I’m afraid my memory of exactly what was going on at the time is a bit hazy, but here’s a screenshot, in case it helps.

Exact same thing has happened to me just now in the PVP event as well.

Disappointing to wait 3 hours for 1 extra match and have it freeze on turn 3…

Same thing happened to me. Just posted explanation about it in 1.5.8 new bugs thread. Didn’t know it has been happening all along.
