Game won't run

When I try to run the game steam loads as usual, then I see loading screen, and then… it shuts down. Help.

I have the Steam / PC version of the game and anytime I go to open the game it shows the loading screen then immediatly dissapears without any warning or error. I tried this several times and it happens over and over. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

I have no idea what might be causing that but try logging out and deleting the ClientRegistry.blob file in the Steam folder (it will be recreated upon Steam launch), checking game integrity in Properties in Steam Library, or deleting and reinstalling the game (your data should be saved in Cloud).

Same problem here, after I got a small (ingame) update today. I submitted a ticket, but will probably have to wait awhile.

I tried those with no luck. I wish there was an error I could reference but it just dissapears

I just tried to start it like 10 times and finally got in. Not sure if it is fixed but I guess persistence can be rewarded.

More information would be helpful.

What Operating System? Have you successfully launched MPQ before? What have you tried to rectify the issue? Are there any error messages? Can you define “shuts down” - i.e. does your computer shut down, does Steam crash, does only MPQ crash, does it flash any colored screens when it crashes?

I would suggest the following;

1.) Send a ticket to Customer Support.

2.) Restart your computer and try and launch MPQ.

3.) If MPQ does not work at that point, try to uninstall and reinstall MPQ.

4.) If MPQ does not work at that point, without more details, it’s probably up to Customer Support to be able to help you.

I have been having the same issue all day. Game gets to loading screen and then shuts down. Did get it to run for a while this morning, but haven’t been able to restart this aft. Any fix coming??

I literally just finished playing MPQ on my PC (even earned my Red Captain America Progression Reward), so it’s not their servers or the update or anything like that.

As mentioned above, more information would be a great help. So would a Customer Support ticket.

It’s working fine for me on Windows 8, but there’s a bunch of people on the MPQ steam forums having the same issue described here since the update.

Any information you can provide to help us investigate the issue such as; Operating System, processor, installed memory, etc. is often very helpful. Also, please describe how the game is crashing; is Steam simply closing?, is your entire computer locking up and needing a reboot?, etc.

I managed to log in on my laptop which runs windows 8.
Game crashes though on my XP machine.
Not sure if it’s OS related.

i heav windows xp sp3…2 day same problem…crash loading screen…i tray to unninstal and instal back…but same problem loading screen…i send a ticket but no help…i play hard this game and now crash icon_e_sad.gif

I had this problem, just started yesterday. Deleting the blob file worked for me, now I’m up and running again- thanks.

Edit: Spoke too soon. Worked once, then crashed next time I started up again. The blob fix is not working this time. Now I can’t get into the last 10 minutes of the She-Hulk event. Great.
