Apparently Cable is now a character in Marvel Contest of Champions. He’s been a character I was hoping would be introduced to this game by now, but that hasn’t happened. Maybe there is some Hope now 
Or maybe we’ll get another 4* Venom.
Don’t get your hopes up, MCOC also has Nightcrawler and Gambit, and many more A-List toons MPQ can’t seem to drum up.

Agreed. Nightcrawler could be a lot of fun. For 12 AP, he drops a one turn countdown timer and goes invisible. When the timer goes off, reappears, punches a dude for numX damage, then drops another one turn CD timer. When that timer goes off at the beginning of the next turn, Nightcrawler goes invisible again.
BAMF, punch, BAMF repeat.
I hope he gets a Rob Liefeld cover where he has lots of pouches and is carrying a ridiculously large gun.

Cable is getting an upcoming solo title. I still don’t think that’ll do it. Maybe for Deadpool 2, but they didn’t do anything for X-Men: Apocalypse so I wouldn’t hold my breath.
