I just wanted to confirm whether a change in language was intentional. Previously, packs said a “Guaranteed rare or better”. Now the new packs say a “Bonus rare”. Is the guaranteed card always a rare or can it be a mythic? This is important for folks who are not rare hunting as it significantly changes the value of the 5 packs.
Very poignant question as if there is no chance for that to be a Mythic there’s even less incentive to buy those packs. I bought one of those packs and the only rare I got was the “bonus rare” which was of course a dupe. Any information on that Brigby ( I see that you’re reading the post)?
Great question! I’ll pass that question along to the developers, and I’ll update this post when I get a response.
That is a VERY GOOD question, one I had been considering myself. I haven’t heard of a single person getting a mythic as one of their guaranteed rares. I bought 10 premium packs and not a single one of my guarantees were mythics. We didn’t even have that bad of luck with big boxes. If you dropped a hundred dollars, at least one of them was a mythic on the guaranteed.
It seems pretty obvious they removed the upgrade chance since they want you to grind for 
to get the mythic packs.
We had guaranteed rares in some BBs before, I haven’t heard of those being occasionally upgraded to mythic.
My guess would be: if those guaranteed rares have a chance to be mythics instead, the chance is probably similar as the chance for rarity upgrade of a QB reward, which is about 1 in 100 or even worse.
