Gwenpool worth champing/how to use/with whom

I have the option to Champ gwenpool, it will cost me 120 CP and I will get a Legendary token. ( I have an useable cover and she is at 12 covers)

  1. worth it ?

  2. how do you play her?

  3. Are there good team ups for her?

I asked a similar question with Riri and got a lot of great input. So I thought I would throw this one out there. Her utility seems more dubious…

Gwenpool is great, and I would highly recommend champing her, but I don’t think I’d spend 120CP to save one of her covers.

Her health is low, so she’s best used when boosted, but I often use her unboosted in boss events. Her board control is top notch, and her green pseudo-AoE hits very hard. If you’re fighting one opponent it runs into a ferocious nuke. Her black is situationally useful, but I’ve never felt a need to move it from 3.

IM40 and Scarlet Witch both accelerate her powers, but I usually use her with people who can tank for her as much as possible.

I agree with all of this.

Also worth mentioning that if you don’t have any tiles to specifically destroy, using 'Sploits to destroy a random row or random column (not just random tiles) does the most damage, which is actually surprisingly high at 5 covers.

I have her champed, but I rarely use her unless she’s powered up.

I don’t have any specific team that I hit her in other than green accelerators or to fill in purple.

I used her a lot during the Sinister Six event because she can one-shot Doc Ock’s device.

Anyone worked out how much GP’s purple hits for at 5 covers at level 270? I’ve tried it out but it always seems to finish off the person targeted so I dont see the total damage

Must easily be over 5K, maybe around 6k?

I don’t see that anyone has mentioned that she is best for PVE (and can be amazing here), but, she is not that great for PVP on defense. The AI will not play her purple well, and it will rarely make an effort to match her gun tile, which means her green may not even be an issue for the opponent.
I love her in PVE. Her purple is one of the best board control powers in the game, as long as you keep her cheat sheet handy.

You’ll often use it to destroy the gun tile, or to set up green matches. Green can be an amazingly efficient way to down 2+ enemies at once. Just plan the enemy health levels so that 1 or more will likely be downed by 1 of the 3 shots she will fire.
