I’m a bit frustrated now, so excuse my rant in advance…
Nobody asked for this feature, yet it keeps causing issues. I hear people complaining over it but don’t see that much on the forum regarding this issue.
It just happened again. I drew a card, checked my hand to read and reorder when I ACCIDENTALLY opened the card art. When that happens, I always am very cautious about the possibility of not getting rid of it. And yes, so be it. I wasn’t able to get rid of the card’s art. I could tap the card to shrink it again, but the card stayed visible on the screen where I touched the screen. If the card art was enlarged, I could see a second instance of the card in the background that I could also move around as long as I didn’t tap on the enlarged art.
@Brigby: can we PLEASE get rid of this “feature”? Or get it fixed, but this is nonsense. I don’t mind losing points or a match due to bad play or bad luck, but losing due to bugs really gets to me.
I can’t find a quick way to post some screenshots here…
My guess is that they don’t know why it happens and do not seem to have the inclination to prioritise this. My guess is that they are working on SD or new content.
I sympathise with you, since I had to forfeit a match due to the menu bug during avacyn’s madness. Also an old (and very annoying bug), that has been reported countless times.
Yes, both suggestions are solid. If you want to look at the art closely, do it in the Cards menu. I’m in favor for such a solution.
Regarding bugs being reported countless times, I think we should report them even more countless times, until something is done about it. They can’t keep ignoring it, can they? Hmm… maybe I should be careful here
By now we know the solutions – and it’s great that people are trying to help, but we are sugarcoating the fact that we have 2 critical game losing bugs – and both have been going on for a very, very long time.
The pause button bug is still not fixed and has gone completely ignored – wanna know what’s worse than building a way too slow deck for Watcher in the Webs? Having to play it twice because you hit the pause button by accident!
The card art bug has been there since the feature was released – and like OP said – we didn’t ask for this feature! Why should we lose games because of it? I can’t think of a single person who wants to zoom in on card art in the middle of a match! Keep it on in the gallery and turn it off in game.
If you also count Sphinx’s Decree there are 3 ways a player can lose a game via crash completely by accident. This game is a mess. And we haven’t heard a single thing from the Dev Team in months about it. That scares me more.
As for Watcher in the Webs, I never have a problem with those kinds of “Lose X or More” objectives in PvE events. I just run my trusty old Gid Z Ally deck. Easy-Peasy
@Machine I’m sorry to hear that you encountered this issue again. Looking in the database, I do see an open bug ticket for this issue, so rest assured that the team is aware of and investigating it.
@bken1234 Hmm that’s peculiar. I could’ve sworn that menu issue was fixed in a past build, but perhaps I’m mistaken. I’ll ping the rest of the team to inquire about that.
The menu bug has been fixed several times over the years, but always seems to come back (like many other bugs, it seems. The devs should look into why). I haven’t personally had an issue with it in ages, but I also got a new phone last year and it has cut out a lot of my random crashes.
@Brigby – it isn’t as common, but it’s definitely still here – I had a loss to it this week, and we still have to educate newer players regularly about when to use the pause button – as they get very frustrated with freezes.
I would say this bug is one of the biggest retention issues in the game.
Thanks @Brigby for your response. Being aware of it and have the devs look at it is just the first step though. I hope you keep informing us about the status / progress. The increasing bugs and ways to lose matches due to these bugs is reaching new levels. “Frustration” doesn’t cover the feeling anymore.
