We’re about half way through the season now. I’ve settled on a few technologist teams. What unexpected teams do you guys want to share?
Iron Patriot/Iron May/Toni Ho underperformed until Iron Patriot’s boost week when it became very fun. Basically take all your Purple AP supports, fire Rhodey’s purple and you’ll usually down an enemy and severely damage a second on turn 1.
Kang/Deathlok/Wasp4 is only a slight variant on Kang/Deathlok/IM40 but I like that it’s not dependent on supports at all and you can guarantee being able to stun an enemy with Wasp and away an enemy with Kang on turn 4 even if you don’t match any blue or black. Make sure to order the team so that Wasp is in slot2 or 3 and Deathlok is in slot 1 or 2 so the turn that Deathlok gets you to 6 blue AP Wasp immediately fires her passive which will increase your 3 blue AP harvest to 5 per turn.
Sam/Lady Octopus/Maximus is my favourite technologist team and I really doubt anyone else is using it. Bringing all the green AP means that strike tiles are created at a similar rate to Sam/Juggs. Iron May is probably technically faster than Maximus here but I’d rather use Maximus. It can be unreliable, the green supports might not fire, the random damage from the tentacles might all hit the front enemy and fail to trigger strike tile generation or Maximus might turn your strikes into protects at the wrong moment but it’s gotten me through basically all the non essentials nodes except the CNs where I swap in the Kang team. Mindless Ones? No problem!

Ascended coulson, kang, and 5 Riri with green supports was pretty unbeatable.
Coulson, CI iron man, iron may was as well. Not quite as fast, but more fun.
This week with 2a5 war machine boosted I use him with iron may and yellow jacket as a third just to cover other colors and he’s fun to play

Deathlock has been the key to most of my Technician teams.

Very straightforward. And since the Sam rebalance, you can actually get his red off a time or two. Switch to all shields for Sam’s red and switch back to all strikes for everything else. They both have passive blue powers so wasp can collect blue and put wasp tiles on the field.

4As5 Deathlock
Again, pretty straightforward. Use Iron Patriots purple to wreck the field and put crits on the field for Ghost with her pumped up match damage.
5* Elsa Bloodstone
4As5 Vulture
4As5 Deathlock
Vulture flies around and builds even more AP for Elsa’s blue. I love Elsa’s kit and her blue is the star with enough blue AP, you can make multiple matches each turn all over the field. Only problem with this team is they’re all weak, HP-wise and normally you’d want all of them protected. Only problem this team, Elsa usually ends up taking most of the damage.

I like that Maximus-Lady Ock-Sam team. Very fun.

I was trying to find a team that Sam3 or Sam4 would work on. They both seem like they should have an exploitable team somewhere. Would love to try this team, but mine isn’t ascended yet. I guess it can work to some extent without ascension?

When allowed, 4as5 Deathlok
Simply utilising Patriot’s match damage and free power activations from the affinity stone, with Deathlok adding reliability.
