How about Re-Release Parties for older characters?

Simple idea to help with covering vaulted characters, which doesn’t involve changing tokens. What if every now and then the game took an older 4* hero and gave them the “new release” events: First a PvE launch event where the featured 4* is in the placement rewards further down like when a new hero comes out, followed by their 4* featured PvP event. (Most of the 4s already have a PvP event that’s been used only once, and lots of people clamor for more 4 PvPs.)

This should at least be done when old characters are reworked/buffed, but giving the hype “new release” treatment to older characters even if they haven’t been buffed recently helps newer players get someone who was before their time, and it gives vets a 4* PvP event to change up the pace of 2 high level heroes + 1 3* PvPs.

Thoughts?

Yes! Especially if they use one where the character in question actually features in the narrative, like using Hearts of Darkness for Ghost Rider or XFWolvie, for instance.

I’m all for this, if it’s instead of a new character release. Anything to slow those down…

Ooo, nice addition! I like when the boosted or featured heroes actually line up with the event.

This sounds like a really nice way to break up the new release schedule, like for this week being a blank spot in the 2 week release schedule. Whether it should also be treated as part of the retirement rotation, putting old heroes back into the Legendary store as the oldest “new 12” move out is another issue perhaps.
