Everyone’s game is different. I have none of that. What’s your device?

(But it could be worse, you could have Wolvie’s 10 rollbacks)

My game doesn’t look like that any more either. Galaxy s25

I’m getting a boatload of comm link disrupted errors to the point that the game is almost unplayable. Weirdly though, it’s only happened about 3 times today.

Edit for reference* iPhone 11 Pro

And the only reason I haven’t made a post about this earlier myself was because I was afraid it was just me. But I have others in my alliance with the same issue, and some that do not.

I have an iPhone 15. I get the odd connection errors as well but it’s not very frequent and they always stop at 1 out of 3 for me. No impact on play for me.

Sometimes I do think they show up a bit early but I suppose it’s fine.

These are the error messages I’ve been getting.

My game has been better doesn’t freeze as badly as it used to. Still freezes when I listen to music while I play sometimes which is odd

I get that message too, but only at game launch.

I’m still not sure why I even get that message in the first place. I’m always connected to the net when I get it.

Oh my lord, it took me 3 hours to be able to get 15 wins in simulator this morning. The game was completely unplayable for all of the lags, crashes, etc. Every 5 or 6 attempts to skip a team would result in one or more nodes completely disappearing or getting booted out of the entire thing and unable to get back in unless I played a node in a different event (i.e. DD or WtS) or, most times, had to just do a hard reset.

I think but don’t know for sure that it is a problem with the server on their side, not your internet connection. I have “unbreakable” broadband where were my broadband to fail, a 5G mobile connection kicks in as a backup meaning I should never on theory be offline but I get this quite often daily, it doesn’t last long but is almost always when my device requires something to happen on the Devs server side such as end of battle rewards or opening up packs. I’m not tech savvy enough to know what could be happening - probably somebody like @Krazy or @KGB has a better idea.

I’ll do my best to explain without getting too nerdy, by using analogies most can understand, related to network/disconnected issues.

There are multiple things going on, most of which can be addressed via code changes. (But not all)

When the game first starts it tries to to connect via the internet to MPQ servers.
Think of this like writing a letter/sending a package to someone.
First you need to look up their address, in some sort of address book.
That act of looking up the address (DNS lookup) can take more time, If: your significant other moved the book, you are sleepy, etc.
[i.e. your phone just woke up, you are in battery saver mode, switching between cell towers, App permissions “only allow network” when it is in the foreground, etc.]
These are the most common reasons for WilliamK1983’s “only when starting MPQ” error.

It is also sort of like if the package delivery service rings your doorbell and you didn’t answer in <30 seconds, because you were sleeping, so they left a note “Disconnected nobody home, package not delivered.”
This could be fixed, by ringing the bell multiple times, and waiting longer at the door. (In software we increase the retries and duration)
At some point they do have to give up, because nobody is actually home.

When lots of different people are all seeing network errors at the same time.
Typically this is caused by an issue with the MPQ servers. (not your device)
This typically happens right after a new release. Everyone is all trying to get the update delivered. Similar to the Christmas season, when Delivery services get backed up, or take longer. (AWS has failed)
Sometimes the failure can be for a particular region as well.

The hardest one to troubleshoot are “Intermittent network errors”
This post is long enough, I won’t go into those.

TLDR; Despite what most think, your device is not “Always connected”
Both Android and iOS will “cycle” your internet on/off in some cases. (Typically to save power, if bandwidth saving is enabled, or certain permissions are set.)

Your iPhone 11 is very old hardware. 2019 era with only 4 gigs of ram.

Is there a reason your not due for a phone upgrade with your provider?

When Unity launched i was on a samsung s9 plus which was also a 2019 era phone but with 6 gigs of ram. The game was laggy and slow for me but no crashes. A year ago at black Friday I got an upgrade to s25. Its night and day different. If you are a serious player give yourself the gift of a new phone.

Oh, I am WAAAAYY past overdue for an upgrade. I’ve been actually thinking about it for the last couple of months. But I’m also thinking about switching carriers, Verizon is absolutely horrible in all the places I live. Fingers crossed I can afford to upgrade in a couple of weeks.

But just to be clear, my phone didn’t all of a sudden need to be upgraded in the last two weeks, which is when this problem began. Before that I wasn’t having any issues. So this is definitely a problem with their servers. And it definitely seems to be worse at the busier times of day.

What’s your in-game name, so we can match the errors to your account data?

So far on the surface, these specific ones you shared look like either connection lost and possibly the game taking too long to respond on the server side, so having your game name will help confirm

Also, just to let you know, I’m in Arizona, US and we are currently in the Pacific time zone, we don’t change times so when everyone else changes, we will be in mountain time. This problem seems to happen way more frequently during what I would guess are the, “busiest” times of the day, the early morning before people go to work, around lunchtime, and when they get off in the evenings. This morning when I was playing just before lunchtime, I wasn’t having very many lags only three or four. But when I tried to get those 15 wins in simulator this morning that took three hours that was from 3 AM to 6 AM Pacific time, which would be 6 to 9 on the East Coast.
