How come there're no birthday rewards in this game?

Ya know, it just hit me. It was my Birthday last sunday and MPQ didn’t give me anything.
In an age where every forum or website you post to sends you a form e-mail wishing you a happy birthday, or even sometimes free stuff…it occurs to me as odd that I didn’t get something like a heroic token and some ISO or something for my birthday o.o

Because they don’t have your birthdate.

…well that explains it I guess ¬¬

But that have it on this forum, right? They could send an e-mail out to people with some way of redeeming stuff, surely?

You want a birthday moonstone cover? I’d rather have a moonstone photon blast for my birthday.

Man they disrespect and don’t know how to celebrate their own birthday, what makes you think they are gonna do anything for you lol? icon_e_biggrin.gif

Ha. They don’t even give out anything for the holiday season (a date they should know) and you want a birthday gift?

You would have to buy your own birthday cake

Jeez, that’s a point.
Wait, didn’t they give out a “Happy Christmas” thing last year? If they didn’t…that’s just mean o.o

Asking for birth dates in-game would also mean we would have to age gate the game so that we didn’t collect any undue information from minors. That applies whether we collect month/day/year or just month/day. While we’d be using that data for pretty mundane purposes, not all companies keep that stuff for simplistic reasons, so… laws.

And I would change my birthday every day to get more rewards. icon_lol.gif

Wait so…plausible deniability is the reason? o.o

More “We don’t want to violate COPPA and get sued/fined”.

That makes sense, I guess.

So…can I have my birthday present now, please? C=

There is! …for your MPQ birthday.

1 year of SHIELD resupply gets 1 of each Devil Dino (365-367). 2 years gets Silver Surfer iirc

Asked and Answered by a dev, but this is a common question, so moving it to Tips and guides so it can be found and searched later if the question arises again, which it will

can you not ask for birthday without including the year? that doesn’t seem like it would violate anything, but I’m no expert.
