This is going to sound silly but here it goes:

how do i invite people into an alliance? When i go on the Alliance tabs it only has Chat, Details & Search but nowhere can i find a place to invite individuals? So i’m confused as to “Recruiting” is successful would anyone like to shed some light?

There is no in-game invite function.

You need to contact players outside of the game and tell them to apply to your alliance.
