I decided to grind a bit to check out my new deck build and finished ~12th in the last QB (with a lvl 40 PW) I haven’t received a reward for it yet. I guess I normally don’t pay that much attention, but I don’t remember it taking long at all. Should I just wait longer?

Check your boosters. You should have gotten an SOI booster for 12th place.
Is typically instantaneous for me. The one time it didn’t appear I put in a ticket, couple of days to get resolved (they send a form letter requesting details first), but it got fixed in the end.
It seemed to me that I get the QB reward after claiming it from inbox if I am not logged in during the closing time.
However, I get the reward immediately if I am logged in during the closing time. That is, the reward gets automatically claimed and added to the account, without displaying what I actually got.
ETA: The reward gets claimed automatically without showing the details when the QB screen is shown for the first time after the closing time. That is, when you are still logged in and either end a QB match (which sends you to the screen as per usual), or you are elsewhere and access the QB.
It does not get claimed just by being logged in. So to force the reward to go to the inbox, you can log out and log in back.
