Regardless of the sentiment towards the new PVP test, I’d like to recommend a friendly competition. How low can you make your retaliations?
I am a solid 5* player and have been able to get down to X-23, Star Lord (3*) and 1* Black Widow. I aim to get lower.
How low can you get?
Oh, this is a conscious effort. 
Down to 3Cyc (266), 1 Widow (40), and 1*Spidey (2)
I’m using 4* RG (70) 1* Widow (40) and 2* Ares (168)
People are defeating my champ 5* team with 3s and 4s, so I’m going to try and retaliate with 3s and 4s back at them.. I much prefer to fight weak teams than strong team, especially since points don’t matter, and I’ll never get that 15 cp I used to win at 1200 (sigh).
I can’t wait to get to 40 wins and then just give up on this crazy ol’ event.
