Is there a logic behind character release? And how many 5* covers eventually?

Is there a logic? Perhaps:
8 1* covers
8x2 = ~14 2* covers
14x3 = ~47 3* covers
47x4 = ~199 4* covers
199x5 = frighteningly 1000 5* covers??

Why 199 and not 200?

If we are going to get to 199/200 at the current release rate that’s 100 more months or 8 1/3 more years.

It kind of sounds like a prison sentence when you think of it like that. “Just keep playing for 8 1/2 more years and you’ll finally have all the 4s there will ever be!”

It seems unlikely the game is only 6/14ths of its total life, but maybe.

I suppose the most realistic guess would be 2 more years of releases before the game shuts down, so 123ish, so 129.

The dev’s goal is to hit 10 year anniversary.

Currently, we have 95 + 4 limited = 99 4*.

Year 7, 2020: 6 more 4* for the rest of the year.
2021: 13
2022: 13
2023: 13

Total: 144
