How to retreat on iOS?

On the pc there’s a retreat button in the top left corner, so it’s easy enough. On android I used the back button in the bottom left corner. However I don’t know how to retreat on iOS other than close the game and restart it. Is there a faster way?

I think it is a pause button top centre screen which opens a retreat option.
