I have a bad feeling that the rebalance is going to bring the nerf hammer hard instead of buffs. This is purely speculation based on the timing of the announcement today. If it was going to be buffs D3 knows players would consider it a good thing and they would get the news out early in the day and soak in that adulation. With it being so late in the day I have a dreadful feeing it will be bad news, the nerf hammer will be dropped and they will be out of the office and not have to deal with the initial fallout until tomorrow
I really doubt that forum reaction determines the schedule for when they release information. Presumably during working hours the devs are busy reading the forums for whatever game they happen to be addicted to, anyway.
There have been multiple instances in the past of Demi giving good news late or not at all. Timing means nothing here. I’m not saying you shouldn’t fear the hammer, but this isn’t the reason.
Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt first. First of all if balance is their goal then probably a nerf or two may be needed. The key is to make sure the nerf isn’t too drastic. Secondly, if you have a diversified roster then you should have nothing to worry about. The issue of course is that everyone knows 4* tier is dominated by a select few characters so I think that is where part of the angst lies. The other large part of the angst is of course within the 5* tier and I will say no more about that one
What indication is there that star-lord suggestions (other tHan the ones on this board) are tongue in cheek? They do make bagman jokes, and they have acknowledged the moon stone meme. But not anyone else.
Also, star-lord is currently never a good pairing because he sucks. At the risk of a very small overstatement: any time spent gathering ap to make other powers a little cheaper is wasted time. The fact that the marvel.com interviews have ignored this fact for 18 months and frequently suggest using star-lord with new releases is a pretty clear indication that the marvel.com interviews have nothing to do with playing the game.
I mean the fact that they discuss builds and uses for a character we can’t obtain for months or longer without paying a few thousand bucks also gives it away.
Would be nice if they rebalance a certain character, who is OP when boosted, fat with hp, with 2 cheap abilities that pack a massive punch and force endless casc-aids. Here’s a clue, the first letter of this characters name is “J” the last is “uggernaut”.
