How about this:
let’s set up a terrible RNG where random players see 3 covers in 5 attempts, while others see zero in 30 - then, let’s have an event that requires the character that we didn’t let them have.

we do need 5*L to complete this event. he is one of the required starting nodes.
No, you do reach progression and get the 10k ISO without completing the essential node.
It is an extra 5k (node reward) if you complete the essential one, though.
weird if nodes have points usually means u need the points to finish progression. kinda a weird design.
There’s another node that pops up where he is required so you can even unlock all the nodes

I pulled a 5* SL with the Vol 2 token so I got the extra 5k, but the devs should really give a loaner for the node. Being a RNG only release and then giving an extra 5k to those who were lucky enough in RNG or spent a ton of CP feels wrong. If SL had been out for a year I would not have as much of an issue but only being available for 4 days from RNG??
Hopefully the Dev’s fix this to offer a loaner on Monday
Not for roughly $7 in ISO they won’t. I’m a little sad to see a load of ISO I won’t be able to get, but it would be a waste of ISO to try. I’d likely end up with 5000 ISO worth of unusable covers before lucking into that Starlord. The sadder thing is not seeing the last part of this story piece for myself. Guess I can go to Youtube to see it.

Hate to say it… but, it’s only 5k iso. I could see outrage if it were 10+. Yes it sucks. Yes I don’t have starlord so I didn’t get it. But it’s 5k. I can get that playing PvP for 30 minutes.

Not that I liked this node, at all, but the big travesty is that 5k iso is supposed to be worth 7 bucks.
you’re missing the bigger picture. they’re establishing a required 5* for any node where a loaner is not available.
A 5* that is, at its best, a 10% draw when released - and won’t go to a 5% draw in tokens until well after the event is over.
Then the RNG also sucked and two people I know who hoarded champ points (of which I am one) went a combined 0-55+ on pulling from the 10% pack attempting to get the 5* cover. Fuck your RNG, that is well beyond “random”. The D3go folks need to get their tinykitty straight and stop making a mess of things for people who keep food on their table.

nope, and completely missing the point. I don’t care about the 5k iso, that takes less than a day to do. I care about the covers that were inaccessible on an almost impossibly small chance at failure.

Each pvp battle nets you 30+ iso, Say i’m being generous, and make it 100 per battle, that’s still 50. Highly unlikely in 30mins unless you’re counting progression rewards
I was completely placated by the Legendary token and the fact that I was still able to progress to the 10K iso without having star-lawd. Sure the 5K would have been nice, but oh well.
