Since the ISSUE of Legendary TOKENS has been brought up by many gamers, new and experts alike are flooded with identical unwanted covers, I WONDER, what would be the solution of the DEVS to this?
The first that we know is selling it for Iso, which quite helps. But, this is not an issue of an ORDINARY comic pack, but of “LEGENDARY tokens”. You SPEND real MONEY, and/or GRIND your way to the top to EARN it - JUST to discover an UNWANTED cover. Maybe, aside from being sellable as ISO, players can make use of these COVERS - say, TRADE with ALLIANCES, or BE USED instead to INCREASE LEVEL CAP? - Which will definitely destroy the game! (Because, who knows if you get a 100 of IW cover?)
What do you think will be the best solution to these multiple unwanted/useless covers aside from being sold for Iso? Will the “NEW FEATURE COMING” referred to in the R89 solve this? Or, instead JUST allow us to SELL it for CPs (At least that’ll be fair play - perhaps one 4* for 5 CPs yeyeyeyey!)?
the only way i see this happening is for lower tier covers.
let 1* and 2* players trade their covers to speed up progression and generally catch up.
not sure about 1* since that covers are everywhere. developing a 2* roster takes a bit though
also, not sure about 3*. they dont release any 3s anymore, and i dont know how often 3 covers are bought and if that would decrease revenue
pretty sure about 4* (and 5*, obviously)
while i cant remember reading about anyone buying 3* covers (there are definitely some buys, but insignificant compared to 4* cover sales) im sure there are a lot people buying 4s because progression for 4 players seems like watching grass grow.
while i think 1* and 2* (and even 3*) covers wouldnt be a big deal to be exchangeable, trading 4* or even 5* will never ever happen.
taking into account not only revenue decrease, but also ressources for planing, implementing and maintaining an ingame trading system, i would bet my left tinykitty there will never be any trading ingame.

“New and Old players alike will be Interested with the new feature. Players will be able to Maximize the use of their covers. Also, Honestly speaking, i am excited for my roster/Characters.”
Not what you actually said in the OP, but I read it wrong and thought it was a great idea lol. What if you could use a cover to raise levels on that character? Say +3 levels instead of the measly 1000 iso? I don’t have any 4* at max level and being able to add levels would be much more appealing than 1000 iso. Just a thought, but I think being able to add 2-3 levels to a character would appease a lot of players getting their “umpteenth” unusable cover, but being constrained to using it on that character you pulled would keep it from being “game breaking”.
Unusable duplicate covers are a problem. They slow advancement and turn what should be an exciting event (dropping a new desired cover) into a disappointment.
None of my 4-stars are maxed, but four of them have at least one power at 5 ranks, and all of those have dropped additional, unusable covers. X-Force in particular, is only 1/5/2 after two years of collecting, thanks to the bad luck of drawing 8 or 9 covers in black. He’s hardly useable.
HB dropped a 6th red cover just days after I spent 7500 HP bumping it to 5. Wish I could get either of his other colors. Two bonus covers for Nick Fury’s blue have prevented me from maxing him. And so on.
At a rough estimate, about 20% (7 out of 40-45) of the 4* covers I’ve pulled from tokens were unusable because I already had the powers maxed. It sucks.
There is a solution to this. An easy one. Just let us spent the 6th cover in a color to boost one of the other two colors. It’ll make it easier to finish building characters, and once maxed, it becomes easier to “respec” into a desired build.
