I would go with Blade, change him to red, yellow and blue for full rainbow with Iron Fist because they are my absolute favorite combo to use and it’s a shame cause they have the same darn scheme…
BSS not having a black and Green Goblin not having green really upset me for some reason.
Dr Doom should have green. It’s a massive oversight.
I’d change purple to pink. Which it is, really.
I think I’d do it mostly for flavor reasons, not to make characters better fits in a specific team.

I would consider 
his natural “fourth color” with regards to flavor, so it’s not completely illogical to me. It also has the advantage of making him more different than his 2* version.

Howard the Duck might actually get some play if he didn’t have green/purple…or if anyone could cover him.
I would change IMHB’s black to yellow.
This was an interesting experiment. There’s enough characters in the game now that changing the colours for just one character (I noticed a lot of people are very bad at counting) doesn’t really amount to very much. That is, if I change the colours to make/break one powerful duo, I would invariably break/make another. So in the end, I decided that there was really only one thing to do:
Change OML Black → Purple, Yellow → Green, and Red → Blue
There’s not really any reason. He would perfectly cover Iceman or Switch, and would pair really well with Nova.
