TL;DR I’m sick of wasting my time opening packs for sets I have completed.
I love this game. I’ve been VIP for over 4 years, hundreds of dollars spent. I love being VIP, I think it’s some of the best value in a mobile game ever. But I am sick of wasting my time, and my dollars are the only thing I can use to speak, so I will be removing them.
I do NOT need to see every card opening. It’s 2026. You don’t have ads, you don’t make more money the more time I spend with your app open. QUIT WASTING EVERYONE’S TIME. Put an open all button. Put a skip animation just show me my new cards buttons. I opened 30+ packs today for sets I have every card in. It was 15 minutes of having to hold my phone and interact because the process won’t even FINISH without my interaction. It’s unacceptable and mind boggling that this has gone on for this long.
Fix it. I WANT to give you my money, but I can’t waste my time doing this anymore.

Once I thought it would be nice to be able to give packs of ours to other players, or trade them, in the case of if we have the cards that we want or the full non-exclusive set, so I still hold onto extra stuff in case that ever happens. When it got brought up in a Q/A though, WebCore stated that doesn’t really fit their plans of things of having players have what they earned on their own, essentially.
With the size and speed of sets now, I can see the sense of it a bit. We do in fact need those orbs for the future. Secrets of Strixhaven may be coming much sooner than you might expect, and I like to complete previous sets when the newest one drops. With the move of Lorwyn Eclipsed going into crafting, to finish it off with what non-dupe packs that I had at the time meant opening nearly every extra pack of the current Standard that I had, and then some on top of that. I didn’t time it, but it probably took a few afternoons into MEV for me to find the time to get to enough for everything in ECL. MEV is seeming to be even more cards to get covered when it happens, perhaps with even less of a time frame to have built up for it, even when we can get more cards through the weekly Story mode and quests, and packs from VIP and leveling if having or doing so.
So yeah, I’m gonna have to dip into phyrexian arc cards as well to make enough of a dent of MEV when SOS hits.
I’m not sure that I’d say to just make an “open all packs button”, as if when this first gets implemented what if it may accidentally open up your non-dupe packs as well if not done properly. But I would like a batches option, where you can chose how many of a set pack you open at a time, esque of crafting multiple items at once in some other games, such as with a numbered ticket that one can move up and down to increase or decrease how many of a given pack to go through. This batch idea being added to our crafting mechanic as well would be nice too. We know that more than 5 cards can be rendered into a pack opening as the M30 packs that the original Ultimate Planeswalk event gave, for the six masterpieces that were originally tied to it, do show that.
The proposed batch mechanic may differ on how it would show or work if applied to both the crafting menu and the pack list menu, but considering that while some are in this situation where the process of gathering and using orbs is becoming ever more daunting, consider that it may be appreciated, along some way to speed up animations for those as well. There are currently 10680 non-full-art, non-foil cards in the game atm, and I imagine it still going up. It would be nice if those who are trying to get though them in the future don’t take a small geologic age to get through them largely because of animation speeds. That could turn some away.
I’d kind of like to see that Planeswalker button be replaced with a button to open another pack of the same type I just opened. I don’t know about everyone else but when I’m opening packs I’m way more likely to want to open another pack than to go look at my Planeswalkers. It would only save one button press compared to pressing confirm and then claiming another pack but if can press one less button per pack when opening a bunch of packs in a row then it’s at least something to make it slightly faster. Or maybe that’s a good spot for an open all of that kind of pack button if they don’t want to put that out in the main shop screen.
