Is this a bug or how the card is supposed to work? I just killed a freshly cast gaeas revenge with inner struggle. Thought the hexproof would have stopped it.

Inner struggle is targeted, so you should not have been able to target Gaeas Revenge.
Was there anything on your side such as shadow spear??
Ahhh! Probably! I do have that card in the deck i was using. I use it for the lifelink and forget that it cancels hexproof. Mystery solved!
