I’ve been wondering this myself for a while, less because of the forum’s activity level and more because it seems increasingly difficult to find anyone worth hitting in PVP above 800.
I think because of the OML nerf, vaulting, 5* scaling, and certain bugs that aren’t being addressed, players are scaling back and waiting for a considerable show of good faith or a visible effort to please the players from the developers.
As a comm I can also add that finding mercs to fill empty slots has been more difficult than previous seasons too. Recruiting 2 or 3 seasons ago was pretty much revolving door now its much slower. Again possibly due to lack of players?
I’ll second this. Since the OML nerf, I haven’t had a full 20 in my alliance for more than a day or two and recruitment of permanent slots has been much slower.
Competition is way down. Easier to get top 100 in LR. Eaisier to get top 10 in pve, the top 10 for the Cloak & Dagger release was barely over max progression.
And another sign, is the lack of communication that has recently reemerged.
Forgot to mention which event I was talking about.
The game is circling the drain and dying. The competition and activity within the game is way less, participation on various LINE and FB MPQ groups are way down… the devs seem to want the game to self-destruct and as a result ( specifically after the oml nerf) spending and playing have been lowered a lot. Extremely sad to see such poor leadership with such a great and loyal player base.
they are "nickle and dime "ing us cause they lost sight of fun of the game and squeezing us for as much money. then they will lose the license to marvel and bam game over.
It’s been somewhat noticeable for a few months now that PVE flips are harder to come by later in events. Also, I noticed this PVP season that the season bracket flips were hours behind last season.
I noticed last season that points were harder to come by in PvP and scores were lower, which actually made it harder for me to get placement. This season, however, points are back up. In my brackets, top 10 in PvE still requires grinding down to 1 and playing optimally, however. I play SCL 7 in PvP and 8 in PvE.
Haha amazing the difference I’ve seen compared to your experience. My alliance purchases have dramatically increased post vaulting and with the new store.
I’ve found competition crazy high in the last pve due to carol. 6 clears didn’t even give me top 100.
PvP I’ve found no difference other than the lack of OML, which is a joy to a non oml player lol.
I mostly disagree. Perhaps it’s easier to get better placement because high end players are quitting - which is good for me - but I definitely do not think the devs are purposely trying to kill the game. That’s completely illogical. First you say that they’re greedy, then you say they’re trying to kill the game. This game is their job, so they want it to last forever. That should be obvious to everyone.
The recent changes are simply to make a long term product, even if it causes some short term complaints. I can see past all of this and not worry about it. If you want to quit, go ahead, my roster will surpass yours in no time. There’s still plenty of people playing the game. Even if the game dies in a year, win for me again because I hate how much time I spend in it.
I don’t know if the game is dying per se but let’s face it, the community as a whole has a negative perception of the game right now. The OML nerf was huge and while it isn’t the first nerf we’ve seen, it was a doozy. I’ve constantly found myself driven to play an event solely so I don’t let my alliance members down.
I have 11 other champed 5’s so I’ll be fine when it comes to actual game play but I can’t help but feel some animosity towards the game in general. To be honest, even if they rolled back the OML change I doubt my disdain would lessen. You got us D3. You got us good this time.
We accepted previous nerfs. We forgave you for boss rush and all the other boss glitches. We accept the constant bugs. We accept the lack of new stories. We accept that all you do is give us new characters which drives your revenue. We accept that these character are all re-skins of current characters. We accept your ban on the X-Men and FF related characters. We accept you run tests such as a Cap Marvel LR and now H4H vaults and yet give us no inkling on the results. Except now many are not accepting these things any longer. I am having a hard time giving it up and for my sake, I hope the game is shut down in the near future so that I can finally move on.
