Is there a way to check if server is down?

I currently cannot get MPQ to load successfully. (Stuck on loading screen, receiving “Check Internet Connection” message) I am on my home network, and there is not a problem with my internet.
Could it be that the game servers are down? Is there a way to check that?

Yes. If you go to General Discussion and see 5 threads with 14 dozen people bitching that the server is down, then the server is down. Otherwise, the problem is on your end.

Had the same problem on December 3rd. Nothing was wrong from my end and I had my provider check just to shut down any shadow of a doubt that I was doing something wrong (this never happens). But I did send a ticket..I lost 4hrs of game time (during the 3pm refresh cycle for the 11pm EST slice) and managed to tearfully lose by 19pts…and well you know how that story went..
