You don’t join a main bracket until you select an end time. The amount of people in your bracket should be in a red band above the black band that states how much time is left in the event. It is easiest to just check the last post in the thread, to see what the latest info someone has provided. If the time zone settings in your user profile are correct, you should be able view the time the person posted, to see how current their info is. There is a possibility of multiple brackets filling side by side, so join a “fresh” bracket at your own risk.
Useful info to provide
1)Time slice you are in
2)Current amount of people in bracket
3)Leader in bracket with amount of points
4)Time you joined the event, if it was not right before posting in the thread.
Time slice - _______
Current bracket - _______ people
Leader - _______ (name) / _______ points
I joined about an hour and a half ago to a bracket of somewhere in the mid 300s. At this time it is 439 - so it gained a little less than 100 people in that time. Skippytx’s bracket probably closed 8-10 hours ago and this one opened.
Current leader is andyminch84 at 7687 - that’s probably around two full clears.
I’ll keep an eye on it for the next few hours. There will probably be a rush around now - it might (or might not) close during the day.
In my experience, you need to grind the hell out of a PVE to get top 10 in any bracket that started in the first 48 hours, so I just don’t bother. Only time I’ve ever scored higher than top 50 was one time when I joined the PVE on Saturday due to being on vacation.
On the bright side, scoring top 100 is generally not exceptionally difficult so long as you don’t join the first bracket.
