Iso-8 Packs increased 50%

I will argue that there is a definite return of investment from buying ISO. You are buying time. Instead of spending a month to farm iso to level your character, you get it instantly.

The question is whether the return of investment is worth it. How much is your time worth? I imagine for most ppl, the horrible pricing of ISO makes it a poor deal. But there will be ppl who find the time saving is worth the money. Those are the ppl who will pay for it.

Similarly, when you pay for a cover, you are also buying time, or more precisely, certainty of using it.

I bought some covers for my pun and Lcap. Those were my first 2 3* heroes. A few months down the road, I was able to win 3 covers for my pun, which is worthless to me now. Does that mean my initial investment was worthless? Nope because I got the right covers for pun and lcap, they form the back bone of my roster for the past few months. While it’s true I could have gotten the covers now, I would have been less competitive for the past few months, and would definitely have a poorer performance in pvp.

You should not just look at value in pure monetary terms but also look at opportunity cost.if you look at pure monetary terms, then all purchases are worthless as it does yield any real profit.

While I appreciated D3 increasing the amount of Iso per pack, they’re still far too expensive. They need to double the amount to make it at the very least a semi-viable purchase. As it stands I will simply never buy Iso, ever. I would imagine that goes for most people who aren’t either whales or cheaters.

I dont get this at all! Can someone enlighten me as to how exactly you can use HP to buy a cover for a character thus increasing a powers level by one and then convert it to ISO? How can you possibly sell that cover (which you never actually got by the way, the level of a power just increased by one.

Dont bother Pacman, he has missed the point in a spectacular way.

Still not worth buying. Still way to low to be worth it. The way it should have been was
Dead Drop = 3,200
Treasure Box = 13,200
Hidden Stash = 37,500
Rich Deposit = 78,000
Mother Lode = 160,000

A set up like that would be worth buying then. As it is, if I was going to waste money I would spend it getting hero points instead. I get a pretty decent amount of ISO from events, so spending money on it just isn’t going to happen, especially for such low amounts.

I buy them to supplement time i spend working where otherwise i would be playing mpq.

On one hand, with what i earn with 6 hours i cam buy far more iso than i can earn in the same time (before 50 percent increase).

i miss out on contributing points to tournaments for me and my alliance but if i didnt buy i still miss out. i dont work to supplement mpq though.

So I almost bought ISO. Almost.

Doom tournament was coming, I already had 9 covers and nearly capped level. Got my reward, filled in the ISO with what I had. There I was 3 levels from maxing out and riding the lvl boost. It would of only been the difference in the boosted pvp of lvl 205 vs 210 or so, but I thought about how awesome it’d be to pop in with my maxed doom, my first fully maxed out 3*.

In this exciting time I was like “you know… 5 bucks to get this thrill… if there were ever a time to pay for ISO” so I said tinykitty it and opened up the screen where I’ve purchased many a HP. Then I laughed!

5 bucks couldn’t even get me my last 3 levels in a time I was most eager to buy.

$100? I don’t think I would spend $100 to permanently have unlimited health packs.

That’s right. You’d spend $99.99 to have 500 health packs.

The problem is his: for $100 bucks, you can buy 10 character covers to fully maximize a character, and have 6 more or 7k hp to distribute however you wanted making your characters completely playable.

Iso, however, takes $100 for what, 30,000? 50,000? 60 levels? 70? It’s not nearly good enough. You should be able to take a 3 star from 40 to 166 for 100 bucks plus some. It’s not reasonable. And considering iso is much easier to get than hp, it’s hard to imagine anyone would ever buy iso.

What does whales mean? People with money?

Not just money, lots of money.

This was at the old prices. I think that works out to something like 60 of the Mother Loads. Nearly $6,000 in ISO. And you can figure that this player probably bought a lot of covers since the roster is all maxed out on covers as well.

I wish I had a trust fund. It sounds like fun.
