This is yet another ask for a reward change (iso specifically), but instead of just saying “give us more” to ask “give us differently/sooner”. In all the rewards tables for champed and ascended characters, you get higher amounts of currency as you go higher in level.
While I certainly understand the plan in holding back HP and CP/pulls until you get a character very high, I think iso could be evenly distributed so you get the same amount at each level that is it rewarded at. This would result in players getting more from lower levels than they do now. (The total amount could be increased, of course. Or not.)
My rationale for this is that the game has become very, very diluted and thus you often end up looking at using iso on one of the dozens of characters you have saved covers on, and the return in iso is pretty low. Odds are you will only very slowly add covers to the various characters in the tier, especially older ones who aren’t featured very often. Some characters, you will make almost glacially slow progress on. Giving more iso up front would (I think) only mildly impact the game economy but make you feel better about using iso as it would be rebated at a faster pace via champ rewards.
Ascension has dramatically changed the economy and what rewards you get, and iso is slightly harder to get because if you ascend, you don’t sell and get that rebate of some of the iso you used before. But you get more pulls than ever if you take advantage of it.
The feeling of progress you get is mostly driven by pulls and adding covers/levels; ascension means that you can add many many more covers to a character before they are maxed; it also means that as you go, you often get less iso per cover than you do at the lower tiers because you need more covers per level at higher tiers (which are less powerful, a tradeoff I recognize). In order to get more pulls, you need more iso to unlock the champ rewards.
So, redistributing the iso rewards would mean you get more iso at lower levels, making the earning of covers for the large number of relatively low level champs you likely have feel a little better, it would help you champ more characters meaning you feel better about playing because you are getting rewards vs saving covers, which in my experience is basically very anti-climactic. (Earning covers from, say, placing in an event and just clicking “Save” is a very meh feeling.) Seeing more covers turn into more rewards faster because you are unlocking the champ rewards tables faster would add excitement to the game for players.
Of course I recognize that this change would require a lot of work, most likely, and it is easy to suggest things I don’t have to do, but I think it would improve the game experience without injecting more overall iso into the game (other than some people never get that high with their characters and hence would get some iso they might not have gotten otherwise at any point in time) and hence should be fairly acceptable to the developers.
