Testing out the new winfinite options with Hobgoblin and ascended Coulson.
It seems that when using 3 or 5 Kang I would expect when the countdowns expire, Kang would generate 2 blue AP. This would lead to a winfinite with Hobgoblin using “Exploit” on Behind the Schemes. However, Kang does not seem to generate the AP.
5 star Hawkeye, with the same passive language, works and generates the blue AP for each countdown.
You need to destroy the countdown for Kang to get the 2 Blue AP.
What Hobgoblin is doing is reducing the timer by 1 which is not destroying it but rather ending the count down.

The text says “Whenever a countdown tile expires or is destroyed, Kang gains 2 Blue AP”
Also, I confirmed Kang generates 2 blue AP when X-Force Deadpool’s X-Enforcer countdown expires.
I just looked and the in game text is different than the text from the original character description. So it must have changed to include expiring.
You might want to check out what happens if you use 4 Carols Yellow to expire a CD and see if that generates the Blue or not. It’s probably a problem for any power that can expire CDs.

Great idea.
Used Carol’s yellow on an Arial coutndown from the Helicarrier, with 4 turns left. Generated 2 blue AP.
Then used it on one of Coulson’s 1 turn countdowns from Super Secret Tech. Also generated 2 blue AP.
Then tried again with hobgoblin - definitely not generating blue AP.
Made a match and let the countdowns expire naturally - generated 2 blue AP as each counted down.
Based on your tests it appears the bug is in Hobgoblins Black power. Somehow the act of selecting 3 tiles doesn’t seem to ‘close the loop’ on the code that would mark them as CDs once you’ve finished selecting the tiles.
That doesn’t appear to get ‘fixed’ until after you move the board. Or I wonder if you fired a different power (or even his Black a 2nd time) whether it would properly close the loop so that you could then expire the CDs via Carols Yellow to get the AP.

hmm. How does Hobgoblin’s black power figure into it? The act is firing his blue power, choosing Exploit, and forcing the countdowns to tick down one number.

That’s very strange then. It’s as if the passive part of his Blue (the damage from the CD expiring) is somehow interfering with the passive part of Kangs (+2 Blue AP from the CD expiring). Maybe there is a limit on the number of passives that can trigger when a CD expires.

and here’s Kang - note that Kang is not replacing the AP nearly as fast as Hawkeye generates it.
Looking at your video you are correct, your Kang isn’t giving you blue. Almost weirder though is when I test the same team I do get the blue.
Ok… Kang has either no support or Tinkerer depending on which test I run. Otherwise the teams are identical in the videos.
Also I repositioned them many ways, still no blue from Kang. Ridiculous amounts of AP from Coulson, sometimes blue, but not the level that you see from the Hawkeye team.
