Sun titan is supposed to return a creature with casting cost 11 or less from the graveyard to the battlefield. I played it today’s duel deck, and it does not return kroxa when it attacks. It fid return other creatures as described.
I expected Kroxa to die immediately after being returned, but I didn’t even get that.
Is there some interaction with the buried/escape mechanism that I am missing, or is it a bug? For example, it could be checking the buried cost instead of the casting cost.
Works fine with Athreos and builds a good combo for letting your opponent discard his hand and take damage as long as the discarded card is not a land.
In the graveyard, the Buried cost is used. You can see it change if you open the graveyard pane.
I can imagine something like that, but I would like a confirmation that it’s not a bug: Casting cost =/= escape cost
