Level 70 Punisher already?

I am a long time lurker, first time poster just saw something rather interesting. During the Doom Tourney I ran into a level 70 Punisher , just hours after the Punisher tourney ended.. It appears he was 0 black and 5 green , 5 red. The only way he could have done this was finish 4th to 15th in Tourney and then pay to increase his powers right? That seems like a huge investment in cash for minimal rewards IMO..

BTW I took him out quickly then took out his Spidey… Didn’t bother to try to figure out a strategy in beating him, just amazed I am seeing him in combat at a high level already..

you’ll be surprised, there’s a really high level IW out there too, just curious ppl with lots of hp stocked up

Many high level players have 10K+ HP saved up, so it’s far from unlikely. If they think he’s worth a spot on their 3-team, then it might be worth it. Really, there’s very little to spend HP on for top players.

I might not be top player, but play long enough to gather quite nice amount of HP, so I planned to drop my HP on Punisher right after end of The Hunt, because I really like his skill (at least in theory). However, I decided to wait till I have more covers. Though I might still do it if we get tourney with him buffed soon.

3/5/5 is prolly the worst Punisher build. People sure do love to spend money wrecklesly. Or Maybe 4/5/4 is.

If you were already sporting maxed out covers going into this event, and won your punishers, then you probably had 30-50K in ISO laying around when it was done. Easily could level him to 70.

Mine’s 135 maybe it was my Invisible Woman you ran into (doubt anyone is crazier than me to dump even more ISo on her), I put her in as a joke, kind of like a Bagman for tanking

That’s what I stated right after I’ve got her. Her look and pose just aren’t right. And she’s a member of the longneck-tribe like every female char in MPQ.
