Why would you ever bring a red, yellow, blue character in this battle? I just obliterated a high level Captain America because a level 70 Vision kept firing off his worthless attacks instead of waiting for Cap’s to build up. I was pretty confident that Quicksilver was the worst 3* in the game, but after seeing Vision in action, I think he might be the one.
I brought a R/Blu/Y character because she’s boosted to 350 and my 4/1/1 Vision isn’t worth giving attack priority to. Defense is a crapshoot even without ability overlaps, and I need a good offense.
What even is this? Some bizarre attempt at being a SJW for marvel puzzle quest beginners?
Damn dude, it’s just a joke. There’s no reason to get so pathetically sarcastic. Anyway, no one’s suggesting it’s a roster issue at all, if you have 1 very high level 3 star, chances are you have another. So it was most likely just a poor judgement issue on teamwork. But you’re doing a good job trying to take the fun out of things, keep it up! I’m sure it will bring you some form of happiness one way or another.
And the streak continues. No one has yet said anything smart or funny while using SJW as a perjorative.
Maybe they were making a bad roster choice, maybe they don’t have any other well covered 3* characters, maybe they don’t think about defensive lineups, or maybe they realize that character level and tier matters way more than synergy for deterring attacks. Either way, thanks for living down to my lowest expectations of gamers. Maybe say some more codedly racist stuff about Michael B. Jordan while you’re at it?
I never bothered to put one level into him before this pvp, but he’s waaaay better than I expected. Once he’s tanking, he’s devastating with that blue out. Play him with IF and then tell me he sucks.
I nearly lost one fight because I stupidly went for Khan second.
They got this amazing cascade that gave them 12 blue and 7 yellows among other things. He did his blue move then his yellow. Next turn he did blue again. Bloody Khan healed them both up for something like 3500 health in just two moves.
Ugh.
Khan works best when you’re with quick characters. Psylocke, Gamora, Vision, Scarlet Witch…all good pairings.
You’re better then me for even responding. People who use SJW term at all for anything is pretty much a cover-all, I don’t know what to say in this argument so here’s something popular from the internet.
Even worse he had to bend and break it’s meaning to make it fit here, and it still didn’t fit.
I’m all for hey woah man, people without good 3 stars are making this event so easy, I don’t go onto the forums about people who use 1 stars during lightning rounds or in shield sim because its all they have.
Most of us going for 1300+ don’t care about defense at all as it has no value (I saw more than a few over 1300 using 4hor with Vision). All we care about is using the fastest team possible so we can break shields, hit 2-3 nodes then shield again before we get hit. That 1-2 points we might get for a defensive win is useless. We will gladly bring 3 characters with overlapping colors if we know that’s the fastest team available to us and/or will function as a scarecrow to limit the number of people that try to attack us while we are hopping.
Good mention of the value of others getting points off of others while shielded.
The KK teams didn’t bother me at all as I’d just take her out first (disclaimer: I was running XFDP/vision/XForce so taking out 1 character before they use a skill is a lot easier than most teams). The maxed XFDP/Vision/Kingpin teams were a pain in the arse with all 3 boosted. Kingpin’s Wilson’s Gambit used while XFDP’s Countdown for What tiles were in play would do almost 8K damage when it destroyed 1 tile and since both of those skills have relatively low costs it happens several times a match. Vision actually has value with XFDP as his Density: Heavy makes XFDP’s Countdown for What tiles do even more damage when matched. That alone makes him far better than Quicksilver and keeps him out of the “Worst 3*” conversation for me.
Edit: Just to clarify, Vision’s Density: Heavy countdown tile boosts the damage of XFDP’s Countdown for What tiles only if they are on a color that your Vision is tanking.
If you’re counting on the ai to win for you, regardless of what team you’re using, you’re doing it wrong. The game, for better or worse (worse in my opinion, but that is a topic for another thread) is about shields.
For my 1000 jump, I just put in Deadpool, just so I could be sure to quickly win with a super whale. He’ll get obliterated by anyone that sees him, but by that time, you want to be back in shield town if you care about placing.
The previous jump, I lost more points than I gained from winning a single match. Kk & vision healfest just took too long to down, and others opened fire on me. In the top tiers, sometimes a quick win is far more important than fielding a logical defense team. If that means dupe color coverage, more power to you.
