In the last several events, I am normally one of the top scorer in my coalition but my ranking in indivudual is normally in the 200s compared to others that have lower scores in the events but they say they are in ranks 50 and above?
Is it different ladder/group/tier?

There are different groupings for sure.
How it it fair? Well, everyone has the choice of joining late into an event and get placed into a different pool of players.
I really don’t see how that’s like a gathering of stalls and amusements for public entertainment.
