More Matchmaking Gripes

This weekend’s Planeswalker Arena event featured Tezzeret the Seeker, and Chandra Torch of Defiance plus the usual one wild card slot. So, you’d expect to get paired off against mostly other Tezzeret and Chandra decks. In my case, however, this wasn’t the case. Not only did I not face off against any, but of my possible 12 matches, 6 were against the same player. Not only that, but they were against 5 different planeswalkers, none of which were Chandra or Tezzeret.

I know this is getting addressed in the upcoming patch, but it’s a bit annoying to have to go up against his fully optimized versions of Kiora, Saheeli, Dovin, Jace, and Liliana2 (twice on this one) with two of the lowest power planeswlakers in the game. I had always assumed it just pulled whatever random deck fit the color restrictions, but now I know for certain that it does as there’s no way all five of these planeswalkers could be registered to the same wild card slot for the same player.

from the lack of these are the objectives thread,
I wasn’t expecting much of a turn out. maybe the
matchmaking won’t change your ranking. maybe
the lack of participation confused the code.

Good thing he has multiple masterpieces in the decks, too.

Forum Rule 7: Please do not reference specific player names, for instance, in order to question in-game actions, or accuse of cheating (this includes nicknames and acronyms)

same here
i had to face a almost full mythic kiora deck..
but hixus saved me B)

Thanks for the reminder  However I wasn’t accusing the player of anything, it was a comment regarding the matchmaking algorithm selecting 5 different decks from the same player, only one of which would that player would have been able to enter. I in now way intended to accuse this person of cheating the system.
