I participated in the roster slots thread earlier this evening, and it made me curious about others’ experiences with well-covered characters that you simply haven’t been bothered to invest
/forgot about after a nerf/buff.
Looking at my own roster, the following stand out:
3/1/2 Beast: Level 40 (not spending any ISO on this blue buffoon until his powers are buffed to make him more of an occasionally surprising power like he is in the comic universe)
4/1/4 Doctor Octopus: Level 50 (Come on, your name is Otto Octavius! That alone should net you far cooler powers for the cost. No more ISO until some fixin’ is done.)
5/2/3 ** Captain Marvel: Level 15 (She’s pretty good for a **, but leveling a ** start once you’re firmly in the *** territory - not sure if it’s worth it.)
3/1/2 X-Force: Level 70 (at what cover count does he become viable to level?)
2/3/2 Nick Fury: Level 78 (same as above)
5/2/4 Invisib… never mind
3/4/5 She-Hulk: Level 69 (She seems close to being a pretty dog-gone good character. Is it the green? Is it red’s damage? Is it more utility on blue? I think with just a small tweak she could be come a good mid-tier ***)
5/4/4 Daredevil: Level 61 (Probably time to revisit him - his recent changes have certainly made him a lot more interesting to play! (though I still never see him in PvP…
))
Who are the black sheep in your roster family? Is there one character you are secretly holding on to (even though you hate in his/her/its current incarnation), hoping that whichever team that handled Loki’s third power and Doctor Doom’s third power get to tweak/fix?

Mystique 4,5,2 waiting on more black
Gamora 4,5,1 again need more black
GROOT 2,4,3 waiting in line for ISO
Loki 2,2,1 i sold him a long time ago so now I need to rebuild him.
Yelena, 8 of the 2* chars, IW, Beast, Loki, and IM40 are cover-maxed and I’ve never put any iso into them. Doc Ock and Colossus are at 12 covers and never leveled as well.
Proportionally? My fully covered DD, that I just leveled to 94 so that he wasn’t messing with the order of my 2* tanking brigade. Next lowest is my lvl 100 fury.
I generally just toss like 20k ISO to take the characters to their softcap after the pvp rewards come from them
Included everyone who isn’t more than twice the starting level. I know most of these guys will never see the light of day and collect dust but the Pokemon mentality won out: Gotta catch 'em all!
And those 3 stars are just the ones I have max covers for. I also have a 10 cover Doom, 10 cover Mystique, 11 cover Punisher, 9 cover Magneto, 11 cover Colossus and a 12 cover Black Panther all under level 80.
i have every 3 star, and every relevant 2 star all fully covered, 70% of my 3 stars are at level 100 or 70, i only have Moonstone, Torchlite, Captain Marvel, and Mhawkeye not maxed for my relevant two stars.
